PROJECT: REAL LIFE MINISTRIES
CLIENT: REAL LIFE MINISTRIES
LOCATION: TOMBALL, TEXAS
ARCHITECT: LDDBLUELINE
Real Life Ministries was running out of room. Three Sunday services, each packed with 350 to 400 worshippers, had stretched their Main Street location in Tomball to its limit. The congregation kept growing — the building simply couldn’t.
Rather than build from scratch, the church made a bold decision: purchase an existing 86,000-square-foot manufacturing warehouse five minutes down the road and transform it into a full-service ministry campus. They brought in Paradigm as construction manager and LDDBlueline as architect to make it happen.
Paradigm phased the project so ministry never had to pause. Staff relocated into newly built offices on-site first, then full construction on the worship center and daycare wing began all while the church operated in the connected building next door. As the project neared completion, an unexpected deadline emerged: the church had committed to hosting the Miss Tomball pageant before occupancy was secured. Working closely with the City of Tomball, Paradigm obtained the certificate of occupancy just two days before the event.
The result is a campus built for everyday life: a 1,400-seat worship center, a full children’s and daycare wing, school classrooms, an indoor gymnasium, and a third-party daycare that generates ongoing revenue for the church. Sunday services dropped from three to two, with room to keep growing. By repurposing an existing structure, Real Life Ministries made a responsible investment in their congregation and in the community of Tomball.
