HOUSTON, TEXAS — Paradigm Construction is proud to celebrate two projects recognized at the 2026 AGC Houston APEX Awards, earning both Gold and Silver honors for excellence in construction.
The AGC Houston APEX Awards recognize outstanding achievements in commercial construction and the project teams whose collaboration, craftsmanship, and commitment bring exceptional projects to life.
This year, Paradigm Construction was honored for two distinctly different projects: a new facility designed to support community health and nonprofit collaboration in Tomball and the careful preservation of one of Houston’s most recognizable historic landmarks.
GOLD | Office Building Under $10 Million
Tomball Regional Health Foundation Administrative & Learning Center
Paradigm Construction received the Gold APEX Award in the Office Building Under $10 Million category for the Tomball Regional Health Foundation Administrative & Learning Center, designed in partnership with LDDBlueline and MG Architects.
Built by Paradigm Construction, the 9,500-square-foot facility serves as both the Foundation’s new administrative headquarters and a community resource for health-focused education and nonprofit collaboration.
Situated on 5.5 wooded acres in the Tomball Medical Center area, the facility features administrative offices, board meeting space, and a conference and learning center designed to host training events, guest speakers, and community programming.
The project extends beyond the building itself. The surrounding property includes a fully interactive public park featuring a one-third-mile walking path, outdoor workout equipment, and a stocked fishing pond, creating additional opportunities for the community to gather, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors.
Together, the building and surrounding grounds reflect the Tomball Regional Health Foundation’s commitment to advancing community health and wellness throughout the Tomball area. The project is one example of Paradigm Construction’s experience partnering with nonprofit and community-focused organizations to create spaces that support the people and communities they serve.
For Paradigm Construction, receiving the Gold APEX Award is a meaningful recognition of the teamwork, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that went into creating a facility designed to make a lasting impact on the community it serves.
SILVER | Historic Preservation
Historic Union Station Window Replacement
Paradigm Construction received the Silver APEX Award in the Historic Preservation category for the Historic Union Station Window Replacement, completed for the Houston Astros alongside Stern & Bucek Architects.
The project preserved one of Houston’s most recognizable landmarks while delivering necessary upgrades to its infrastructure.
Located along a route traveled by tens of thousands of Astros fans each game day, Historic Union Station remains a highly visible symbol of Houston’s architectural heritage and the city’s transformation over more than a century.
Paradigm Construction replaced 163 deteriorated windows across 10 different window configurations, carefully maintaining the appearance and historic character of the existing building. The west and south elevations also incorporated laminated glazing and concealed structural framing, allowing the project to meet modern performance needs while respecting the architecture of the landmark.
Every aspect of the window replacement required careful attention to Historic Union Station’s architectural integrity. The result helps preserve the building’s character while ensuring this piece of Houston history can continue to be experienced for generations to come.
Through this project, Paradigm Construction was honored to contribute to the preservation of an important local landmark and demonstrate our continued experience in historic preservation construction throughout the Greater Houston area.
Building to a Higher Standard
While these two award-winning projects differ significantly in purpose and scope, they share something important: both were built with a greater purpose in mind.
One created a new resource dedicated to health, education, and community connection. The other helped preserve a piece of Houston history that has stood for generations.
We are incredibly proud of the Paradigm Construction team members whose dedication helped make these projects successful and grateful to our clients, architects, trade partners, and project partners for their collaboration and trust throughout the process.
These awards represent the same commitment to integrity, relationships, value, and excellence that guides who we are at Paradigm Construction and the work we do throughout Houston and across Texas.
Thank you to AGC Houston for recognizing the Tomball Regional Health Foundation Administrative & Learning Center and Historic Union Station Window Replacement at the 2026 APEX Awards.
